BLS

The Basic Life Support for Health Providers class provides information on adult and pediatric CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask. Also covers foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This class is required for anyone working in a hospital or healthcare setting. Students not in a healthcare setting are also welcome to take this CPR class.

BLS Renewal

Heartsaver CPR AED

The Heartsaver CPR AED course combines basic CPR skills training with instruction and practice in using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). It includes adult, child, and infant CPR as well as relief of choking. This course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This would include teachers, childcare workers, fitness trainers, corporate workers, restaurant employees, lifeguards, coaches, parents, babysitters, and anyone who wants to learn how to do CPR. This course is for non-healthcare professionals. Anyone who will be working in any healthcare related area, including nursing students, EMTs, or any hospital staff, please register for BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Heartsaver CPR AED Renewal

The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course combines all of the information provided in both the CPR AED and First Aid classes into one class. This course covers adult, child, and infant CPR and use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Included in the course is relief of choking. The First Aid component of class provides first responders with training in basic first aid procedures—including the first aid skills recommended by OSHA. The course covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. This course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This would include teachers, childcare workers, fitness trainers, corporate workers, restaurant employees, lifeguards, coaches, parents, babysitters, and anyone who wants to learn how to do CPR and give First Aid.
